Travelling to Malaga's matches from Benalmadena and Arroyo de la Miel
Many
ex-pats and holidaymakers alike make the short trip to Malaga's La
Rosaleda stadium to support the local Spanish team, Malaga CF. Some go
by bus or train, whilst others travel on organised coach trips arranged
by certain bars in Benalmadena and other resorts on the Costa del Sol.
If you have never been to a Spanish football match, make the effort as
the atmosphere is fantastic and totally different to what is usual in
the UK. Malaga finished in 4th position in the Spanish
1st division, (Primera), at the end of 2011/2012 and qualify for the qualifying stage of the Champions League.
A lot more information in English can be gained from The International Supporters Club of Malaga FC,
which is based in Marbella. They also have coach trips available for
home matches, with several pick up points. Malaga CF official site, (in
Spanish), is here. Ticket information here.
